The first thing you should know is that Carys is hopeless at self promotion. This could be because she has Asperger syndrome*, because she has anxiety disorder, or something else entirely. So if you could pretend that someone else is writing this, that would be great! Otherwise I probably won’t be able to write anything.
Okay, now we’re both confused. Where was I?
Carys is a singer-songwriter based in Suffolk, which for people who don’t know the UK well is the rounded bit about 80 minutes North of London (for people who know the UK well, it’s the rounded bit about 80 minutes North of London). She has completely forgotten how she was going to end this sentence.
The Sensible Bit!
Firstly, if you’ve come here to buy WolfSong or A Different Kind Of Normal, please click on the album titles in this sentence.
Things is my blog, which gets updated rather erratically. Right now I’m posting fairly regularly, sometimes about music, sometimes about Random Life In Isolation. It’s not to be confused with About, which is my biog, not to be confused with a blog. It’s a really good biog, though. It starts when I was two years old and wanted to be a cat. Stuff I did before the age of two wasn’t really that interesting.
Live and Discography are exactly what they sound like, though right now “live” is pretty much a list of postponed gigs and festivals. Oh well, you can see where I would have been playing, I suppose. Clicking on any of the releases on the discography page will take you to where you can find more information and buy them. My links page includes useful things like my social media and the AD music website, as well as a few randoms. So far I’ve also included my favourite fabric shop and my favourite author, but I’m willing to entertain other suggestions.
That just leaves albums and bands, which are exactly what they sound like, though I badly need to update the latter page. I’ll do that one day, I promise. In the meantime, here is a picture of my dog and cat. Ooh, I’ve just noticed I’m now writing in the first person. Jolly good!
*Technically this diagnosis is no longer used in the U.S. and some parts of the U.K. But it’s a lot easier than trying to use the official wording for my condition, which is something like “autism spectrum disorder with impairments in social interaction but without intellectual or language impairment”.
Hello from a fellow Aspie. Sounds better than Aspergers Syndrome or high functioning autism as my psychologist insisted on calling it in my diagnosis. Anyway, it was great to meet you at Alyfest on Saturday and to compare our experiences of diagnosis. I enjoyed your singing as well. I was the one hiding behind my camera most of the time if you remember.
Good to meet you as well, your photos of the event are amazing. Would it be okay if I use one or two of them on this site? If so, have you got a website I can link back to?

Hello Barry, what a good spammer you are, I was almost completely taken in. You’ll see I took the liberty of removing your inappropriate link and instead just shared your, um, gibberish. May I recommend a dictionary in future? Have a lovely day.

Oscar dear, you really must try harder. Your comment was entirely incomprehensible so I can only assume you meant to say “I love your music”. Is your best friend’s name Barry by any chance?
I was recommended this web site by means of my cousin. I am
not sure whether this put up is written by
way of him as no one else realize such exact about my problem.
You are wonderful! Thank you!
I’m a little concerned – did your parents really name you “Cheap Creamation” (sic) or did you change your name by deedpoll? Either way, I don’t remember writing “such exact” about the problem of having a bizarre name, but I’m glad it helped. Merry Christmas!
Hello. And Bye.
This is a topic that is near to my heart… Thank you!
Exactly where are your contact details though?
They’ll be at the top of the page, under the heading “contact me”. Happy to help…
Hello! I’ve been reading your site for some time now and finally got
the bravery to go ahead and give you a shout out from
New Caney Texas! Just wanted to say keep up the good job!
Hi Carys, only me. 🙂 Just a quick note to say how much I am loving the new EP. Happy times.
Hi Neil. So glad you’re enjoying it. Thank you!
